High-End Boutique Interior Design for Historic Homes
What We Do
Cecilia Casagrande is the founder and principal designer of Casagrande Studio. A former social worker turned HGTV Designer of the Year (2022), she is known for “disciplined maximalism”: bold color, layered pattern and antiques, shaped around each client and each historic home. Her design-build team handles everything from renovation to final styling across Greater Boston and New England.
What Makes Us Different
Cecilia’s masters degrees in social work and public health allow her to understand the importance of a sense of well being in our homes.
Casagrande is an excellent listener whose mission is to guide clients to comfort, warmth and functionality in the spaces where they spend their time. Combining bright colors and playful patterns with family heirlooms and antique pieces, Cecilia’s optimistic design deeply resonates with clients. It’s an attitude of self empowerment, nurturing a more upbeat approach to living, and creating a personal story on every surface of the home. Lastly, she brings a sense of humor that adapts to every home, for a joyful client experience.
About the Principal/Owner
In starting her professional career in the hotel industry, Cecilia honed her customer service knowledge. Casagrande has since traveled the world, gaining inspiration from beautifully designed boutique and grand hotels alike. Bringing her keen eye to Massachusetts, she designed, renovated, and sold three of her own homes in the Boston area with significant resale value. Through her education in social work and public health, she mastered how to listen, understand, and empathize with others’ health and well being. In 2015, Cecilia merged her talent for interior design with her listening superpower in founding Casagrande Studio. Since then, she has won “HGTV Designer of the Year” three years in a row, and her work has been featured in three books and dozens of shelter magazines and newspapers.
Areas We Serve
We live in, and mainly serve the Greater Boston Area.
While we often travel to work on clients’ second homes in places such as Rhode Island and Florida, we have 10+ years in the Greater Boston area, with significant projects in Brookline, Newton, Cambridge, Boston (including the South End, Back Bay, and Jamaica Plain), Chestnut Hill, Winchester, Weston, Wellesley, Belmont, Concord and Lexington.
“My passion is thoughtful design. I create inspiring and meaningful spaces, whether that be a kitchen and living room or a nook and den, that truly reflect clients’ moods and personalities. This is what brings me joy.”
